ESLR Check

What is an effective learner at i-Poly? A student who assumes responsibility and expresses personal creativity.
 1. Summary of how you've been an effective learner this year.
2. Cite evidence from the senior project (be specific and use examples)
3. What are specific ways that you can improve in this ESLR during second semester?

1)When it comes being creative in a project based learning environment, I always apply the most interesting concepts that time would allow me to apply to any presentation. I do my best to make sure that all the necessary content is there, and as well, that it is presented in the simplest and engaging way. That is my always my mindset when working on a presentation. Also, I like to take the role of facilitator in a group because I see it as the person responsible for making sure everyone gets what is going on (almost like the group leader).

2) In my senior project (graphic designing), I am constantly using my own creativity to actively keep myself interested in my work, and a to give the art I create uniqueness.  Responsibility wise, I am dedicated to any piece I am working on, willing to spend numerous hours at a time to make sure that it it is finished.

3)My major problem is I dont do most of the required work. The work that I actually do, I always try my best and apply myself to my fullest. But I do cut out on a lot of the work that I am supposed to do. I get very easily distracted, lazy, and I procrastinate, by which it might be too late to really give it my all. I'm not the most responsible or organized, but a way I could fix that would simply be a change in habits and focus.

Service Learning 10 Hour Progress Check

" I suggest to discuss what you have learned about the guy and what he has told you.  Note you haven't completed hours yet."

My service learning expert is John Clifford. He is a certified expert in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat. When I first met him, he told me that he was a teacher at an art/fashion institute. We then discussed what form of graphic designing I was interested in, and what he specializes in.
In this recent meeting with him, I showed him my EQ, and he gave me 2 answers from his professional perspective. His major answer was publishing. What good is the most amazing peice of art if you cant print it or show it to anyone? His second answer was knowing what is appropriate and understanding the needs of your client.
